Jeff Langholz
Jeff is a professor in Monterey, California, where he is an award-winning teacher and researcher. He has a Ph.D. from Cornell University and led the research effort for the book. Jeff's past work has been covered by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and hundreds of other media outlets. Long ago, he was a rice farmer in West Africa, a salmon rancher in Alaska, and policy maker in Washington D.C. |
Chris Crabtree
From Indiana, Chris attended the Indianapolis high school named after one of Hold Strong's most heroic characters. His personal connection to the story also includes living in The Philippines, where the story starts. Chris served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone, West Africa, where he and Jeff forged their decades-long friendship. He is an award-winning high school teacher in northwestern Costa Rica. |
